History of the Robinson Lodge

A brief History.
Robinson Lodge is the 3rd oldest Lodge in Maidstone, founded in 1884.
The Lodge sponsored the foundation of three other Maidstone Lodges, which are considered to be our daughter Lodges. We also provided founders of several other Lodges. 29 Masters of Robinson Lodge went on to become Masters of other Maidstone Lodges, and is it reasonable to assume that we had a considerable influence on those Lodges in their early days. 10 members of Robinson Lodge became Mayors of Maidstone, and another became Mayor of Chatham.

Our most famous member was the cricketing hero, Jack Hubble, who played successfully for Kent and England. He was our W.M. in 1917.
Robinson Lodge is now quite small, but it is a very happy and welcoming Lodge.
